Tiffany L. Williams founded the firm in 2022 after garnering over fifteen years of patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret experience with one of the world's top-ranked IP firms, Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP ("KTS"), where Ms. Williams served as an associate and partner in the Mechanical and Medical Devices Patent Group.
Ms. Williams graduated from Mercer University School of Law in Macon, GA, magna cum laude, where she was a member of the Mercer Law Review, Brainerd Currie Honor Society, and Order of Barristers. She was the swing oralist for Mercer's Corporate moot court team, which won second place in the Ruby R. Vale competition. She was also the swing oralist for Mercer's National moot court team, which won first place in the regional finals. At that competition, Ms. Williams was personally recognized as the best oralist. She also served as the vice-president and secretary of Mercer's Technology and Intellectual Property Society. At graduation, she was honored to receive the National Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Student Award.
Ms. Williams received her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA, where she graduated with highest honors and a cooperative plan certificate for her work with Brown & Williamson and Riverwood International. She was a member of the Omega Chi Epsilon Chemical Engineering Honor Society and treasurer of the Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society. Ms. Williams is also certified as an Engineer in Training.
Prior to practicing law, Ms. Williams spent almost a decade working as a Chemical Engineer, Corporate Quality Systems Manager, and a certified Six Sigma Black Belt for Riverwood International (later named Graphic Packaging International), ExxonMobil Chemical Company, and Armstrong World Industries. Specifically, it was Ms. Williams’ tenure with ExxonMobil Chemical Company, where she worked directly with the R&D group to gather experimental data for patent applications directed to oriented polypropylene film, that led to her decision to attend law school.
Ms. Williams is a prolific speaker, having frequently presented on the topics of IP licensing, due diligence, and transactions; trade secrets; IP protection in the footwear industry; and extra-jurisdictional discovery.
Ms. Williams is admitted to practice in the State of Georgia, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.
When she is not helping clients, Ms. Williams enjoying spending time with her husband, their three sons and daughter-in-law, their (soon to be two!) granddaughters, and her adorable lab-mix baby.
